Introduction:
For this project we will be turning a creative eye to the art room itself. At this point, the room is full of interesting visual information; most importantly, the artworks previously created that fill the space. These artworks are now going to serve as subject for a new drawing.
The Plan:
∗ You are going to choose a piece of artwork that either you created or someone else created.
∗ In your sketchbook you are going to draw a few quick sketches of the artwork in an environment. This may be the environment in which it is currently found, or you may create your own still life by choosing the surroundings the artwork will be placed in.
∗ Your sketches should consider composition and will fill the drawing surface.
∗ Once you have worked out plans in your sketchbook, you will be given the sheet of paper for your final drawing.
∗ Your final drawing will be a value drawing as opposed to a line drawing. This means the drawing will have a full range of shading, highlights and shadows.
